WPWP - Unfold Addon

When it comes to using an Unfold widget for Elementor, there are a few options to choose from. From our review of the 4 main Unfold widgets, here’s what we recommend.

The Best Unfold Widget for Elementor is from Crocoblock JetTricks, called Unfold. It provides all the options you would need for many different projects, making use of toggle buttons with icons, max heights, unfold transition duration, and the use of Templates to unfold any kind of content you want. And by not having more options than needed, the code size is smaller, making it faster to load on your website.

Below is our breakdown of the JetTricks Unfold widget and the other Addon options available to you.

What is an Unfold Widget for Elementor?

An unfold widget is a tool to hide content on the page, which then becomes revealed by clicking the unfold button. Clicking the button again then hides the content once more. An unfold widget is a great tool for organizing and minimizing content on the page, helping you to have a clean UX experience.

What are the features of a good Unfold Widget?

The 8 main features of an Unfold widget are the following:

  1. Title : Title of the content
  2. Content : The content that unfolds. This can be provided by a Text Editor or Template
  3. Toggle : The element used to click on for the unfold. This is often a Button or Icon
  4. Toggle Position : This is where the Toggle is found in relation to the content and is usually above or below it
  5. Fold Height : When the content is folded, how much still shows?
  6. Fold/Unfold Duration : How long does it take for the content to appear once unfolded
  7. Fold/Unfold Easing : This is the style in which the unfolding appears
  8. Extas : Any additional features or styling unique to the widget

Piotnet’s approach to unfolding content is unlike any other. Turning this feature on adds an extension to almost any widget, allowing you to make its content unfold. We tested it on the Text Editor, Image, and Video widgets, and it worked perfectly.

It does require a little manual work to coordinate the unfolding widget with the widgets you’ll use to trigger the unfold/fold (like a button), but it’s well worth it.

  2. Content : Unlimited Types

  3. Toggle : Unlimited Types

Cons

  • Requires adding a slug ID to the unfolding widget and trigger widgets, so it may feel a little intimidating to those that prefer not to get too technical
